This year's three-day aviation extravaganza, between 12 – 14 September, will feature a unique aerial ballet by the Sydney Charles Display Team.
Get ready for an afternoon of air displays as they return with a fantastic new line up full of aerobatics, pyrotechnics and a range of warbirds.
With 2025 marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Longleat will pay tribute to those that gave their lives in the line-up for this year’s Icons of the Sky spectacular.
VE Day – 8 May 1945 - saw the surrender of German forces at the end of World War II, and to commemorate the anniversary, a Supermarine Spitfire and T6 Harvard will feature throughout the three days of displays.
The iconic Spitfire played a crucial role in the Battle of Britain and air battles all over the world during WWII. As an addition to our air display, the Royal Air Force will be bringing the world famous RAF Falcons mass parachute team and a Tutor T MK1 aerobatic trainer to join the line up.
Oggy the Friendly Dragon will be making his debut UK appearance in 2025; this 150 feet tall hot air balloon will be at Longleat for one of only three appearances in Britain.
As well as Oggy, others will be making their debut such as a huge football, Funny Bunny coming from Belgium, Tropsy, a baby dino and many others.
Begin each day with a stunning mass hot air balloon ascent* and spot your favourite shapes. From Tropsy to Oggy, macaws to snakes, watch all kinds of animals and objects come to life in the skies. Create unforgettable memories as the morning light accentuates the kaleidoscope of colours and don’t miss out on those picture-perfect moments.
Be sure to enjoy some traditional favourites as they take part in tethered displays, including the Michelin Man, Rupert Bear and Thomas the Tank Engine.
As day turns to night, sit back and relax as not only will we be treated to another picturesque mass ascent*, but the airborne pyrotechnics will be stark against the evening sky in a truly elegant display, before handing over to the much-loved balloon night glow and a flourishing firework finale.
