A stage version of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre comes to the Town Gardens Bowl next week.
The company is known for staging classics in alternative settings and with amazing audience engagement, and the latest production has giggles, gasps and no end of surprises.
Using the backdrop of a carnival, the adaptation follows the favourite Victorian heroine through her many ordeals.
A Heartbreak Productions spokesperson said: "Watch her escape from her aunt’s house, her school, the fire, the moors, and finally find safety with her true love, Mr Rochester.
"So step right up, ladies and gents, to Heartbreak Productions’ Carnival Spectacular - complete with astounding acrobats, jaw-dropping jugglers. And don't forget the very special guest - the death-defying escape artist Jane Eyre.
"Watch her wriggle out of five different tight corners, including everyone’s greatest fear – fire!"
South Swindon Parish Council arranges the productions, and a spokesperson said: "There is an action-packed programme at the Bowl this year and there is sure to be something for everyone, so get the family and friends together, pack a picnic and book tickets for this summer spectacular!"
Tickets are priced at £17 for adults, £11 for children and £50 for families of two adults and two children. Booking fees apply.
Booking can be arranged at www.theatreatthebowl.co.uk
