Lechlade Festival organisers have announced the postponement of this year’s event.

Festival Director Jennie Turner-Maskell issued a statement to festival goers and traders communicating heartfelt sadness at having to make the decision.

“As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to develop both in the UK and globally, the health and wellbeing of our festival-goers, traders, performers, volunteers and team is our number one priority.

It is with the greatest regret that we have taken the decision to postpone Lechlade Festival 2020.  This was to be our 10th anniversary year, with plans for a new arena and new attractions.  We are all deeply saddened at having to take this decision given the preparation that goes into the festival from all involved.   We can confirm that the 10th Lechlade Festival will defer for one year until 28th – 30th May 2021.  We will be throwing our energies into planning an even more fantastic event next year.”

Attendees who have already purchased tickets have the option to transfer tickets to the new date or receive a full refund.

“Please bear with us whilst we process enquiries”, said Jennie “We are only a very small team and will be working hard to process responses as efficiently as possible. We are hoping our loyal festival-goers will continue to support the festival and transfer tickets to next year’s event.”

The team have provisionally announced the same line-up for next year, with support already from headliners Alexandra Burke and The Boomtown Rats.
