Lechlade Festival organisers have announced Pixie Lott will step into the headline slot this Saturday at the three-day family-friendly event.
Alexandra Burke had been due to appear having been booked three years’ ago before the pandemic hit, and since became pregnant, with the baby due imminently.
As Alexandra nears the full-term of her pregnancy, both she and the event organisers thought it would be wise to avoid any last-minute disappointment by inviting Pixie Lott to perform on Saturday night.
Alexandra sent her love to the festival-goers and says she hopes to return to the Festival in the near future.
Lechlade Festival Director Jennie Turner-Maskell said: "We’re very sad not to be able to welcome Alexandra to Lechlade but super-excited to have been able to secure Pixie at the last minute."
The chart-topping artist has a string of hits to her name, has appeared as a judge on The Voice Kids, and was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.
The award-winning Festival takes place at Riverside Park from this Friday (27 May) to Sunday (29 May), with camping available until the following Monday morning.
