Star Paralympian's Wroughton Community Library visit

Louise Hunt Skelley will meet the public and talk about her new book at Wroughton Community Library on Wednesday 12 February.

What's Wrong With You? chronicles the Wroughton-based woman's journey from rebellious schoolgirl to world class tennis player and Paralympian.

A library spokesperson said: "A Paralympian with a fierce will to win, Louise has spent her life defying expectations, smashing stereotypes and challenging the world to keep up.
"As an ambassador and supporter of several charitable organisations, Louise believes in giving back within her community, and she wants to share her expertise and her experiences with us here in Wroughton.
"Not only this, but she has written a fantastic memoir. In What's Wrong With You? she shares her journey from a rebellious schoolgirl to a world-class wheelchair tennis player.
"This is more than a memoir - it's a manifesto for anyone tired of being told they can't. With wit, grit and a no-nonsense attitude, Louise reveals the struggles and triumphs that have shaped her, all while refusing to let society's narrow definitions hold her back.
"Filled with humour, resilience and the kind of wisdom you only gain from going against the grain, What's Wrong With You? will inspire you to embrace your own story, stand tall and never take 'no' for an answer."
Tickets for the event, priced at £5, are available at the library, and signed copies of What's Wrong With You? will be available on the night at £18.99.
