Longleat will soon be home to a pack of African painted dogs - one of Africa's fiercest hunters - in an all-new attraction.

Visitors will be able to see the park's latest addition in their new custom-built enclosure in African Village, the first stop on the Drive Through Safari.

The new enclosure boasts plenty of viewing opportunities, including floor-to-ceiling windows and specially designed outdoor vantage points.

The African painted dogs arrive just in time for Longleat's 'Predators' Easter event, which will allow visitors to get up close and personal with some smaller predators and take on challenges to test their own speed and strength.

The creatures are one of Africa's most endangered species of carnivore. The Longleat team hope that by having a pack, they can raise awareness about them and support their long-term partners Tusk, an African-driven conservation trust.

The new enclosure will be open from March 29.
