This will give members of the Friends of Lydiard Park as well as general visitors an important opportunity to enjoy the house, its collections and the stories they tell.
The Museum will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am–4pm, from 5 to 30 August, alongside the scheduled programme of events taking place across Lydiard Park.
For members of the Friends of Lydiard Park, this is also a particularly important opportunity to show support for the Museum.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: "At a time when regular opening hours remain significantly reduced, every visit helps demonstrate that Lydiard House is valued, enjoyed, and deserves to remain accessible to the public.
"Friends can make use of their membership benefit of free access to both Lydiard House Museum and the Walled Garden throughout the August opening period.
"If you haven't visited for a while, we hope you'll take the opportunity to return, explore the house again, and perhaps bring family and friends too.
"Lydiard House lies at the heart of the Park and of everything the Friends work to protect and promote.
"A strong turnout this August is one very practical way we can all show just how much its future matters."
