One of Swindon's best-loved pieces of public art has been undergoing restoration.

The piece, The Golden Lion Bridge, can be seen at the end of Medgbury Road in the town centre, is the last remaining of a series created by globally acclaimed Swindon artist and outdoor mural pioneer Ken White.

Artsite organised the restoration, which was funded by Swindon Borough Council and undertaken by another acclaimed local artist Tim Carroll - with Ken White himself also taking part.
Originally unveiled in 1976, the mural was repainted by Mr White in 1983 and 2009.
This will be the 3rd time the mural has been restored since it's original creation in 1976 by Ken who then repainted it in 1983 and 2009.
