This will be the third year of the festival which was organised in tribute to Dave Young, the former landlord of The Victoria and 12 Bar who died in early June 2021 at Prospect Hospice after a hard-fought battle against cancer.

Future Planning, based in Devizes Road, specialises as independent financial planners and mortgage advisers, with clients based across the country and overseas.

The team pride themselves on their passion for helping every client to lead a more fulfilling life, taking the time to understand what is important to them, to understand their situation and what their future could look like.

Future Planning Managing Director Sanjay Badhan said: "After last year’s success, we are proud to continue supporting the festival and Prospect Hospice.

"We know what a great cause this is for and also looking forward to meeting some familiar faces and having a good time. Hope to see everyone there.”

Festival co-organiser Aaron Denley-Doswell said: "We are really excited to be partnering up with Future Planning for the second year running. To have the continued support and recognition from a local business such as theirs is so humbling.

'We simply cannot run this event and raise such large sums of money for Prospect Hospice without the backing of local businesses and groups."

Other sponsors so far for this year's festival are Anytime Fitness, Imagine Cruising, Leightons Opticians, and Lewis Farrant Floor Layer.

A total of 16 acts will be gracing the two stages on the day, including festival favourites Imperial Leisure, local party band Kova Me Badd and The Pop Punk Revolution Tour, who will be bringing three bands in one.

Local food and drink vendors have been brought in to keep revellers fed and watered. There is also an independent business market, a funfair for the children and a soon-to-be-announced creativity area.

Prospect Hospice, based in Wroughton, provides palliative and end of life care for people across the region and has to raise the majority of its costs through fundraising.

My Dad’s Bigger Than Your Dad Festival is run in conjunction with South Swindon Parish Council. The festival has raised over £24,000 for Prospect Hospice in its first two years.

People can get your tickets now by visiting mydadsbiggerthanyourdad.co.uk. Paper tickets are also available from Holmes Music, The Tuppenny and The Castle Inn.
