Completion of what is billed as a perfect location for overnight stays at Royal Wootton Bassett is near.
The Churchill lodge on Swindon Road is a multi-million-pound development from pub retailer and brewer, Greene King.
It is set to open on Monday, 14 September, eight new team members will be recruited, including three receptionists and five housekeepers.
The 28-bedroom lodge is the first location among Greene King’s 2,700 estate to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points.
The lodge, in the grounds of the Churchill Pub & Grill, will also have some of its energy generated by solar panels.
Ana Carvalho, general manager at the Churchill, said: “We’re incredibly excited to unveil the new Churchill lodge on Monday 14 September and can’t wait to open the doors.
"Life in lockdown has been difficult for many, so we’re pleased to be part of a business success story and open eight new roles for people in the community.
“We’re proud to be the first location in Greene King’s estate to install EV charging points, and with solar panels providing a large proportion of energy consumed at the lodge, the Churchill is a great example of how the industry can play an important part in paving the way for sustainable business.
“All 28 bedrooms will feature their own bathroom and a clean and cosy interior, along with an established, homely pub serving pub classics just metres away.
"We’ve already had locals enquiring about the new rooms for friends and family due to visit, as well as colleagues coming to the area for business.
“The brand new interiors have been designed to provide our guests with the perfect surroundings to relax and enjoy a restful night’s sleep, and we look forward to welcoming visitors very soon.”
