Award-winning DJ Sigala is confirmed to make his Newbury Racecourse debut on Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday 20 July.
Newbury’s famous Party In The Paddock returns to the Berkshire venue after the conclusion of racing with a headline set from one of the UK’s most respected and influential electronic music producers.
The Weatherbys Super Sprint, run over a fast and furious five furlongs, promises to deliver thrilling action on the race track on 20 July.
Won in 2023 by the rapid Relief Rally, trained by William Haggas, the Kodiac filly went on to Group 2 glory in the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes at York following her Newbury success.
The Weatherbys Super Sprint, a two-year-old contest worth £250,000 will deliver a sprinting spectacle before Sigala takes to the stage.
The producer of seven platinum singles and with 10m worldwide sales, 9m monthly listeners on Spotify and over four billion streams under his belt, Sigala will deliver a party like no other at Newbury Racecourse.
His debut single ‘Easy Love’ hit the number one spot in the UK chart followed by further mega-hits including ‘Lullaby’ with Paloma Faith, ‘Just Got Paid’ with Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor and French Montana, and ‘Lasting Lover’ with James Arthur. His trademark blend of house-inspired dance-pop tracks will continue the party atmosphere after a fun-filled day at the races.
Sigala said: “I’m delighted to be headlining Newbury’s famous Party In The Paddock raceday this July. Summer shows always have an incredible festival atmosphere and Newbury will be no exception – I can’t wait to see you all there in the sunshine!”
Harry Walklin, Marketing Director for Newbury Racecourse, said: “Following performances from Tom Jones and Olly Murs last summer, we’re thrilled to be welcoming Sigala to Newbury Racecourse on Saturday 20th July.
"Weatherbys Super Sprint Day always delivers a great afternoon’s racing and Sigala’s catalogue of hits mean we’re all set for a great evening’s entertainment too with one ticket entitling admission to both the racing and Sigala’s show.’’
