A Swindon promotions company has gone out of business meaning that a Diversity show planned for this December will no longer be happening.
Red Sky Promotions Limited had announced that they had booked the Britain’s Got Talent winners back in June but now representatives of the dance troupe claim that they had never even made the booking.
A spokeperson for NMP Live Limited, who represent Diversity, said: “Red Sky Promotions Ltd had not confirmed Diversity, had only ever enquired with us about their availability and consequently Diversity were not even aware of the potential booking at this stage. Red Sky Promotions were acting to sell tickets for a non-existent event.”
The original press release put out about the event stated that Diversity would be doing a thirty minute set as part of MF Dance’s hometown show which would have included street dance performers from Swindon and Oxford.
A statement on Red Sky Promotions social media said: “It Is with deep regret that we, Red Sky Promotions, have to announce that the planned Diversity show at The Oasis, Swindon on 1st December will no longer be taking place due to the closure of us as a company.
“Red Sky Promotions takes full responsibility for this eventuality and wish to apologise to fans of Diversity who will, quite rightly, feel let down. Obviously this was never our intention.
“Refunds for all tickets purchased will be set out in the next 7 working days. Once again our heartfelt apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience that this may have caused anyone.
“Red Sky Promotions would like to assure anyone who has purchased tickets for any of the events that we were advertising that they will receive a refund within the next 7 working days. Payments will be for the full value and returned via the same method by which they were purchased.
“Please bear in mind that they (sic) is a busy time for us and we are doing our upmost to reimburse everyone as quickly as we can. If you do have any questions not covered in the above please contact us on [email protected]. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.”
