A new project called Play in a Week has been announced by Swindon Theatres.
The organisation is offering aspiring performers aged 16 and over the chance to take part in a production ofShakespeare’s magical, fast paced and timeless comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Under the guidance of a professional director, the project will give participants the chance to gain hands-on experience and explore the magic of theatre by rehearsing and performing the entire play in just one week.
During the project, participants will gain experience in every aspect of theatre production from acting and stagecraft to rehearsal processes and performance techniques.

Auditions will take place at Swindon Arts Centre in Devizes Road on Sunday 25 May, with the project running from Sunday 26 October to Saturday 1 November and culminating in three performances in front of an audience at Swindon Arts Centre.

Whether a participant is a a seasoned performer or completely new, this project is billed as a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for theatre.
