Swindon Pickleball has excited to announced the addition of a brand-new Wednesday session to its regular schedule.
The organisation says the move comes amid growing demand for the0 fast-paced and engaging sport.
The new session will be held every Wednesday from 7-9pm at Delta Tennis Centre, offering more opportunities for both new and experienced players to get involved.
Pickleball, a sport combining elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis, has seen a surge in popularity across the UK in recent years. Swindon Pickleball Club has been a key driver of the sport's growth locally, hosting a thriving community of players who enjoy the game's mix of strategy, athleticism, and social interaction.
Spokesperson Andy Lovegrove said: "We’re thrilled to extend our sessions to Wednesdays, as we’ve had so much interest from people wanting to give Pickleball a try.
"It's an incredibly inclusive sport that suits all ages and abilities, and we look forward to welcoming even more players to our growing community.”
Swindon Pickleball already runs a successful social sessions on Mondays with just short of 50 players across 10 courts, and the new Wednesday slot will offer more flexibility for those keen to play more frequently or try the sport for the first time.
Swindon Pickleball was established in June 2023 with just four friends playing and has quickly become a hub for the local Pickleball community.
With a focus on inclusivity and fun, the club offers social sessions for players of all skill levels and ages. Whether a person is a seasoned player or a complete beginner, Swindon Pickleball prides itself on providing a friendly environment in which to learn and improve.
