'By the Water' is the theme of this year's Royal Wootton Bassett Orchestra Summer Concert.
The concert will be given on 13 July at 7.30pm at the Sixth Form Centre of Royal Wootton Bassett Academy, SN4 7HG.
It is billed as an orchestral showcase of well-known music from light classics, film and pop - all with the theme of water. Wine and chilled soft drinks will be served in the interval.
An orchestra spokesperson said: "Climb aboard HMS Pinafore and the Titanic, swoon to Moon River, adore the cygnets in Swan Lake, take a barge cruise down the Thames with Handel’s Water Music, get your feet tapping to the hornpipes and experience the tranquil bobbing of yachts at anchor in Doreen Carwithen’s Suffolk Suite, and more.
"RWBO is a well-established local orchestra who, under the guidance of Musical Director, Nicola Ashton, performs at least three concerts a year. Our last concert, Nordic Adventures, held in April in Malmesbury Abbey, and featuring Dominic Irving playing the Grieg Piano Concerto, was a sell-out success.
