Join the Sealed Knot as they present Wiltshire at War, a weekend of activities and battle re-enactment in Malmesbury.
Sealed Knot are a registered charity that specializes in re-enacting the English Civil War. They will be bringing a full weekend of interactive history for all the family to Charlton Park, near Malmesbury, on May 4 and 5, from 11am until 4pm.
The event will give people the opportunity to explore what it was like to live and fight in Wiltshire during the civil war by exploring the living history encampment and taking part in a variety of activities. Witness the spectacle of a 17th century battlefield brought to life complete with infantry, artillery and cavalry troops, as the grand battle to secure the routes through this strategic county unfolds.
A spokesperson for the event said: “See displays of ECW weapons and tactics, explore civilian life in the living history camp and take part in the ‘have a go’ activities.
“Complete kids activity sheets and treasure hunts, witness the spectacle of the main battle and enjoy a display of drums and colours.
“Please note, sealed knot battles and displays are very loud and may not be suitable for nervous dogs.”
