The organisers of Shindig Festival are inviting people and groups to join the volunteer stewarding team.
The festival will he held from 22 to 25 May at Wiltshire's Charlton Park Estate, and is billed as a showcase of international talent including Gilles Peterson, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 and Moonchild Sanelly – who has collaborated with Beyonce´, Gorillaz, Self Esteem, and Ezra Collective among others.
Also lined up are acts including Asian Dub Foundation, Ibibio Sound Machine, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Dub FX, Mr Scruff ft. MC Kwasi, Dan Shake, Algote Oho & His Sounds of Joy, Romare (Live) and The Reflex.
A spokesperson said: "Bring your team, group, organisation, university or sports team to join our volunteer stewarding team. As well as individual volunteer opportunities, Shindig Festival are creating the opportunity for groups to apply as a team to support the festival.
"Whether you’re a local business, a non-profit, a volunteer group, sports club, university or charity or you can play a crucial part in delivering an unforgettable experience to festival-goers.
"This is your opportunity to bring together your team, group, or organisation to make a meaningful contribution to the festival while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of this year’s event."
Volunteering is described as an opportunity to give back to the community as well as building team spirit and showcasing organisations. Volunteers experience the festival up close, and work includes helping behind the scenes, getting access to special areas and enjoying the festival from a unique perspective.
