A number of local organisations have been announced as Major Partners and Festival Sponsors of Signal Festival, a radical showcase of fresh talent and opportunity.

Signal Festival’s aim is to cultivate art, support artists and enrich audiences during an exciting fortnight of performances, career talks and workshops from Monday, 22 July to Sunday, 3 August 2024.

The Festival will bring a dynamic mix of performances, professional development and pop-up surprises all around the town with one goal - to be as easily accessible as possible to all audiences.

The Festival is led by six young producers, all under the age of 28, who grew up and create work in Swindon. All six are involved in the creative industry, from visual art and theatre to music and dance.

Funded by Arts Council England and having gained support from Major Partners such as Swindon Borough Council, GEL Studios, The Listening Fund and Prime Theatre, Signal Festival is supported by a range of organisations looking to empower young people.

A number of Foundation Partners, such as Get Into Theatre, Create Studios, Historic England, National Trust, Artsite, Local Studies, Lydiard Park, Museum & Art Swindon, South Swindon Parish Council, STEAM, Swindon Arts Centre, Swindon Dance, Swindon Hub, Wiltshire Community Foundation and Wyvern Theatre are supporting Signal Festival by opening their venues for specific events or helping source artists and professionals to host workshops and career talks.

Signal Festival is delighted to be supported by so many organisations in the area. Their support towards such an important initiative for young people in Swindon will help Signal Festival become a space where creative careers are born.

Arlo, Erin, Clarissa, Morgan, George and Riley, Producers of Signal Festival, said: “Having so many different organisations, both local and national, supporting Signal’s vision has been brilliant.

“Swindon often feels disconnected and it’s really exciting to offer organisations the chance to be a part of a wider network that is changing expectations and the only way to do it is together”.
