Swindon residents will have the opportunity to register for a solar panel group-buying scheme run by Swindon Borough Council from today (Monday 17 June).

Solar Together Wiltshire is a solar panel group-buying scheme run by Swindon Borough Council in partnership with Wiltshire Council and independent group-buying specialist iChoosr.

The scheme brings residents together to increase their bargaining power and secure the most competitive offer through a reverse auction with pre-vetted installers.

Solar Together Wiltshire has so far seen over 430 Swindon households get quality solar panels and battery storage installed at a competitive price.

A spokesperson for Solar Together said: "All residents living in one of the participating council areas and who own their own house (or have permission from the landlord to install a solar PV system) can register for the Solar Together group-buying scheme.

"Small and medium-sized enterprises (non-domestic) and Commonhold Associations meeting this requirement can participate as well."

You can register your interest for free from Monday (17 June) until Friday (9 August) on the Solar Together website, with no obligation to continue further.
