Swindon fans up and down the country are delighted with the club’s start to the season. The Robins collected an impressive 17 points from their opening eight fixtures. If they continue like this, there’s no doubt that they’ll be involved in the playoffs next May. However, Richie Wellens will be keen to seal automatic promotion before that.

As things stand, Swindon are the highest-scoring team in League Two. They’re scoring freely and creating dozens of chances. Fans are witnessing some of the best football at the County Ground in years. Everyone involved with the club is on a high and hoping that the boys can keep it up for the remainder of the season.

The whole team has been phenomenal so far, but some players are performing slightly better than others. If they stay fit, the Robins will be confident that they can achieve promotion. Today, we’ll share our League Two betting tips and analyze Swindon’s key players.

A Cut Above the Rest

Eoin Doyle - The 31-year-old Irish forward is the League Two leading goalscorer. Doyle’s first goal of the season came against Exeter in August, and he hasn’t looked back since. The former Bradford City sticker has also scored goals against Cheltenham, Morecambe, and Macclesfield. What’s more, he’s bagged three braces.

Occasionally, loan deals don’t work out. However, this player has adapted to his role and hit the ground running. The Robins won’t want him to leave at the end of the season, but if he can lead them to League One, perhaps a permanent deal can be agreed next summer.

Jerry Yates - Swindon’s number 9 is also chipping in with plenty of goals. Yates has hit the back of the next four times already. However, his general style of play is quickly making him a fan favourite. The 22-year-old is eager to win the ball back and is cool in front of goal. If you give this man a chance, he’ll take it.

Yates and Doyle have created an excellent partnership so far. Their goals will be pivotal to Swindon’s chances of promotion. If they both stay fit, it could be an extremely fruitful campaign. Let’s keep everything crossed.

Keshi Anderson - Midfielder Keshi Anderson is another player who just can’t stop scoring. The former Crystal Palace man has scored three League Two goals already. His passing ability makes him a key component of this team. If he keeps on scoring goals and creating opportunities, Swindon won’t be far away from the automatic promotion spots.

Mathieu Baudry - We can’t just talk about the goalscorers. French centre-back Mathieu Baudry has been fantastic at the back so far. He’s been a mainstay in the team and is one of the most important figures in the dressing room. The former Bournemouth player has bags of experience.

What’s more, he’s brilliant in the air. We’d like to see him chip in with a few more goals from set-pieces. However, his ability to keep the backline in shape has been priceless so far. Long may it continue.
