This summer, families can discover more of Swindon as Active Swindon Trails returns.
For the summer season (July, August and September) there are three walking trails across the Borough to get you out and about. These are:
- The Robin trail – a loop from the Moredon Sporting Hub
- The Wichelstowe Explorer trail – a treasure hunt to find items around East, Middle and West Wichel
- The Pig trail – along the Eastern Flyer from Greenbridge to Swindon Town Centre
A spokesperson said: “Starting in July 2025, we are launching short walking trails around Swindon for you to explore all year round. There will be three trails per “season” and for each trail you complete, you can collect a badge and enter the prize draw.
“The trails, which are all between one and three miles long, will take you to some great local arts, heritage and historical sites, as well as places of natural beauty. There’s a limited edition badge available for the first 100 people to complete each challenge, while for every trail you complete, you will gain an entry into our grand prize draw.
“Wherever possible, the routes have been designed to be accessible, with alternative suggestions provided if this is not the case. Details for getting to the start of each of the walks by public transport will also be provided.”
You can pick up the Summer Trails leaflet from Swindon’s core libraries (Central, West, North, Highworth and Park) and the Moredon Sporting Hub.
Residents can also download trail leaflets from the Swindon Travel Choices website.
