The last recital of the season will be performed on Sunday 27 April at the Arts Centre and will feature Paul Turner, piano.

This season of recitals has been all about Modernist Classics. This performance is an intriguing combination of Jazz, Classical, Romantic, Modernist, Impressionist and Tango, with works by Gershwin, Beethoven, Chopin, Tippett, Debussy and Ginastera.

The concert will truly explore the full range of sounds available to the solo pianist in the 20th Century. Paul Turner plays pictures painted in music and ends with a piece requiring a high degree of virtuosity to bring the season to a rousing conclusion.

Paul Turner is an Honours graduate and an elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music where his many prizes and awards culminated in the Queen’s Commendation for Excellence and the Peter Pears Accompaniment Prize. An experienced recitalist he has appeared at London’s leading venues and major UK festivals. He has given concerts in Europe and South America and worked with eminent singers and instrumentalists.

Paul Turner will appear at the Arts Centre on Sunday April 27 at 3pm. Tickets are £19.50 for adults and £16.50 for Seniors and unwaged people, including a theatre administration fee of £1.50. Student tickets are £3.50; accompanied children aged 14 and under are admitted without charge.

There is an additional service charge of £3.95 for each financial transaction undertaken (not for each ticket if you are buying more than one).
