Wrong Shoes Theatre Company will be bringing a retelling of The Little Prince to the Shoebox Theatre this Christmas.
The show has been created for children aged two and above, and their families.
The Little Prince will run from 17 - 23 December at the Shoebox Theatre on Milton Road, with relaxed performances on offer.
Shows will take place at 11am and 1.30pm on each performance day.
A spokesperson for the show says Wrong Shoes Theatre Company 'blend enchanting storytelling, delightful puppetry and a sprinkle of festive magic.'
The story follows the adventures of the Little Prince as he travels far from home to visit many strange planets and tells a tale of discovery, growing up and friendship.
Luke Marquez, Artistic Director of Wrong Shoes said: "We are so excited to work on such a well-loved Children’s classic and bring the characters to life for younger audiences.
"Our Christmas shows are always lots of fun and we want to create a positive experience and lovely memories for both parents and children. The performances will be relaxed with gentler sound and lighting and none of the 'rules' that normally come with a theatre performance."
Local composer Gary Bamford has written the music for the show, and the Little Prince has been made by renowned puppet maker Marc Parrett.
Luke added: “Although we create our Christmas performances with younger children in mind, we always find that older children and adults love our stories just as much as little ones and return to our theatre every year.”
Tickets are £7.00 - £10 from www.wrongshoes.co.uk/whatson
