The band will grace the stage of Swindon's Meca this month.
The Waterboys' Meca date will be Wednesday 13 October.
The show will begin at 7pm. The show is for ages 14 and over, with under 18s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
A spokesperson for the event said: "With mesmerising mixture of passionate soul-rock and poetic lyricism, few bands have impacted music like The Waterboys. Lead by Scottish guitarist/vocalist Mike Scott, the band have been staples of the UK music scene for decades, consistently blending genres, inspirations and improvisation to reach heights beyond most bands’ capabilities."
In this new decade, the Waterboys' popular reach is said to have never been greater, with their songs having been performed by Prince, The Killers and U2 - all of whom have covered their classic 'The Whole Of The Moon.' Fiona Apple also recorded her version of the track in 2019.
The Waterboys' tour will visit the North Music Festival in Porto, Portugal on 2 October, and continue back in the UK, across Ipswich, York, Sheffield and Stockton before settling into Swindon on the 13 October.
The current members of the band include:
Mike Scott (Vocals, Guitar, Piano)
Steve Wickham (Electric fiddle, mandolin)
Ralph Salmins (Drums)
Brother Paul (Keyboards)
Jess Kav (Vocalist)
Zeenie Summers (Vocalist)
Aongus Ralston (Bass)
