The summer holidays are always a great time to get out and explore with the whole family, making magical memories along the way. Whilst the little ones may have broken up from school for a few weeks, that doesn’t mean they can’t continue to learn through fun activities and educational trips out that will encourage them to have fun and learn at the same time! With so many wonderful things to do in and around Swindon this summer, come rain or shine, we’ve gathered a few of our favourites to help you plan some fantastic adventures!

Jungle Parc Swindon

Looking for a way to keep your little monkey entertained for a few hours? Well look no further. The Jungle Parc is an amazing place to take your little ones for hours of excitement and adventure. Designed for children from the age of 4, the Jungle Parc offers a selection of different activities from the Rocket Launchers to the Rope Bridges. After a few hours of playing up in the trees, we can’t promise your little one won’t want you to head out to the local timber merchants to build them their very own Jungle Parc in the comfort of your own garden! Jungle Parc is a place for the whole family to enjoy, with a restaurant onsite and a picnic spot, you can make a great day out of your visit here!

Museum of Computing

Living in Britain, we can’t guarantee that the summer holidays will be dry and sunny throughout, so on those unwanted rainy days it’s great to have a plan to still get out and have some fun! The Museum of Computing is devoted to the history of computer science and digital development, which provides you with a day packed full of fascinating activities and educational elements that your child will love. From vintage video games to robots, there’s so much to see and learn about at the Museum of Computing.

Swindon Spy Mission Treasure Trail

Keep your mini spies entertained with the exciting Swindon Spy Mission Treasure Trail. Your little ones will feel like real-life spies for the day as they go on a mission trail around Swindon hunting for clues. Learn all about the heritage of Swindon whilst uncovering twisting tales that will help you get closer to cracking the mission! The Swindon Spy Mission Treasure Trail is ideal for children aged 6+ and is a great day out for parents too, so what are you waiting for!

Stanton Park

Enjoy the beautiful outdoors at Stanton Park, a 74-hectare country park with a local nature reserve just a few minutes away. Take a picnic and a football, set up and spend the afternoon bathing in the sun whilst your children run around and burn off some of that energy. With so much to see and an extensive woodland area to explore, you can have hours of fun at Stanton Park and the best part is it’s completely free.
