With a mesmerising mixture of passionate soul-rock and poetic lyricism, few bands have impacted music like The Waterboys. Led by Scottish guitarist/vocalist Mike Scott, the band have been staples of the UK music scene for decades, consistently blending genres, inspirations and improvisation to reach heights beyond most bands’ capabilities.
In this new decade, the popular reach has never been greater, with their songs being performed by Prince, The Killers and U2, all of whom have covered their classic The Whole Of The Moon; and Fiona Apple who masterfully recorded the song last year.
Now, the band have announced their return to the stage, set to perform at the iconic Swindon Meca on the 13th, a night set to be another addition to the group’s already stellar run of brilliant shows. There’s no better way to experience these classic tracks than to see the originators in full swing, so come and feel the fire!
