People of all ages were delighted by a free musical comedy show in Queens Park laid on by South Swindon Parish Council.

Called The Wave, it was the work of theatre company Calf 2 Cow and told the story of a ship called Wave Goodbye to Your Sanity.

Lost at sea for weeks, or perhaps years, and crewed by three buffoonish, broken, musical sailors, the ship and all aboard needed the audience's help on a journey of incredible highs and sudden lows as they battled against the stormy seas.

The show was brought alive through sea shanty, drums, guitars, harpsichords, and song.
