The Adventures of Lady Mouse and Wolfy is a new book by Swindon-based author Kayleigh Smith.
Kayleigh grew up in a small town in Hertfordshire with her Mum, Dad and two sisters, not realising she was a part of a Neurodiverse family.
A mother of three young children, she was diagnosed in her thirties with ADHD, which inspired her to write children’s books to help spread awareness of Neurodiversity and promote inclusivity.
Published by Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie Publishers, her book is the first in the series of The Adventures of Lady Mouse and Wolfy.
A spokesperson for the publisher said: "Join Lady Mouse and Wolfy on their trip to the seaside! This is a story of two best friends, Wolfy, who has Autism and Lady Mouse who has ADHD.
"During their adventure, you may notice the different struggles they face in their daily lives. Going to the beach has challenges for them both, but despite their worries, they manage to have a funfilled day, until Wolfy’s beach bag goes missing! Will he be able to find it again in time?"
