Wroughton residents will be lighting up window displays every evening of advent for members of the public to enjoy.

This is the fourth year that Vision 4 Wroughton (V4W) has held the Advent Calendar Trail (ACT).

At least one new window is lit up each evening from 1 - 24 December, then all windows will remain lit until and including 1 January 2022.

Entrants have decorated their windows in a seasonal fashion. Themes include general wintery scenes (including local landmarks), religious, seasonal non-religious (e.g. Father Christmas, TV etc).

Windows are lit between the hours of 4.30pm - 10pm each evening.

Maps of the ACT are now on sale for £2 from Wroughton's Coventry Farm store and McColl's newsagents. A slip is attached to the map so that participants can vote for their favourite entry.

Members of the public do not need to have seen every window to vote and the money raised from the trail will be split between V4W, and a charity chosen by the winner of the most popular entry.

The Vision 4 Wroughton team says the aim was for the route taking in most or all of the windows to be suitable for wheelchairs but it will be up to individuals to use their own discretion in deciding if a path is suitable.
