Mass evacuation just outside Swindon after mysterious virus fills infected with bloodthirsty rage
Reports are coming in of a mysterious virus spreading throughout the Sevenhampton area centring on Roves Farm. According to our reporter on the scene, Jamie Hill, the virus is infecting hundreds of people who have become filled with a bloodthirsty rage with only destruction in mind. All visitors must be evacuated from the farm, immediately by the military.
There’s a soldier a few feet away from me barking orders into a walkie talkie.
He looks afraid.
I am currently on a trailer being pulled by a tractor with lots of other apprehensive Roves Farm visitors as they try to whisk us off to a containment unit before it’s too late.
It is dark. I can hear scared children being comforted by their mothers.
As we go deeper into the night in our flight for sanctuary, we see sudden movement in the fields around us. The soldier shines his torch on the area.
In torchlight, a figure can be seen. A grotesque twisted undead human running towards us at full pelt until it reaches the trailer and tries to get at us passengers with its clawlike hands.
And suddenly we’re moving again, leaving the zombie in our wake trying to move as fast as we can to escape.
A mother can be heard telling her child ‘it’s not real, it’s not real.’
And of course, she’s right.
The whole thing is not real as this is the new scare night that will be taking over Roves Farm over Halloween weekend and we were guests who had been invited along for a preview.
It was pretty terrifying. In a good way.
The attraction contains scares, gore, intense situations, flashing lights and loud noises (which admittedly was most of us screaming) so it’s been given a PG rating meaning visitors can decide if they want to bring the kids with them or brave it alone.
I don’t want to reveal too much as part of the adrenaline-fuelled ride at the farm is the not knowing. The not knowing what will be revealed as you turn another corner. Not knowing what horror awaits.
The attraction runs for three nights from Friday 27 October to Sunday 29 October from 5.30pm to 9pm. Tickets cost from £5 to £10.80 and are available here
Definitely not one for the faint-hearted.
