Housing Developer Persimmon Homes are supporting local swim team, Swindon Dolphin ASC, as part of their Healthy Communities initiative.
Swindon Dolphin ASC are among the finalists for the national Healthy Communities competition where the winning sports team will receive funding of ?200,000. Alan Holmes, of Holmes Music in Swindon, said: "If the swimming club was to win the funding will help give children the most important life skill – to learn to swim. The club plans to use the prize money to try and help to re-open the Health Hydro teaching pool in Swindon. "Alternatively the club will launch numerous swimming camps and train new teachers as well as rebrand the squad with new kit." Voting is open until 16 March. To vote visit www.persimmonhomes.com
