Man charged after alleged Tesco knife attack

Following the incident at Tesco's car park on Ocotal Way last weekend (Sat 2 September 2017) where a man was seriously injured, a Swindon man has now been arrested and charged. 

Carl Thomas (36) from Beech Avenue, Swindon was arrested on Friday evening (8 Sept 2017) and was charged on Saturday (9 Sept 2017) with wounding with intent (GBH) and possession of an offensive weapon and was remanded in custody to attend Swindon Magistrates Court this morning (Monday 11 September 2017). 

Wiltshire Police were called to Tesco car park in Ocotal Way, Swindon, shortly before 10pm on Saturday evening (Sept 2) following a report of a man being attacked by someone with a knife.

A 44-year-old Swindon man sustained a serious injury to his chest and arm and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition receiving treatment.
