Stagecoach's Swindon bus operation has appointed a new operations manager.
Bill McCartney, 31, will be based at Stagecoach’s Swindon offices at the Bus Station, having moved from his position as operations manager for Stagecoach Peterborough.
Bill, who is originally hails from the west coast of Scotland said: “I’m looking forward to helping maintain and further build on the quality and reliability of our services in the region for the benefit of our passengers.
“It is an exciting time to be a part of the team with the imminent launch of our new frequent town service, the number three, which will offer new connections for our customers.”
Rupert Cox, managing director of Stagecoach West, said: “Bill is a talented manager and we are delighted to welcome him aboard the team.”
Stagecoach West employs more than 700 staff in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Swindon and Ross and operates a fleet of almost 280 buses.
