At 2:20am this morning (23/01), officers were on mobile patrol in the Redhouse area of Swindon when their attention was drawn to a teenager riding a pedal cycle dressed in dark clothing and carrying a rucksack.
On searching him, officers found a large knife in a sheath, which was tucked into his waistband.
His rucksack contained three bags of cannabis and two grinders.
The 16yr old boy was arrested for possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis.
He has been released under investigation.
