Witness appeal following assault in Swindon

Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault outside a Manchester Road supermarket.

A force spokesperson said: "At approximately 11.45am on Friday 11 December, three unknown males assaulted a man in his 30s outside the Sulaymaniyah store after he was accused of shoplifting. 

"The three men followed the man outside, from the shop, and then assaulted him.  

"If you remember hearing or seeing anything suspicious in this area at this time or know anything about the incident, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 54200122737.  

"Alternatively, you can report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
