Badbury Park Primary School in Swindon's Rainscombe Road has been evacuated following what the police term a malicious threat.
The force announced shortly after 3.10pn today - 25 February - that it was responding to a report.
A spokesperson said: "Specialist officers are on the scene and the school has followed its emergency evacuation plans as a precaution.
"A 200-metre cordon has been set up around the school.
"We will issue a further update when appropriate."
The school itself said in a social media message to parents and giardians: "School is being evacuted so please collect children from Biddestone Ave on corner on Belcombe close. EYFS and ks1 3pm and ks2 at 3.15. Please collect children who walk from home. Further info to follow. We are all ok."
