Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in the Ferndale Road area of Swindon.

At approximately 7pm on Saturday 10 November, a woman in her 20s was walking through an alleyway between a house and the premises of House of Hair on Ferndale Road when an unknown male approached her and grabbed her bag.

After a slight scuffle between the offender and woman the male ran off with the bag.

He's described as having a grey hood up over his hair and eyes and a black scarf covering the bottom of his face, the black scarf had a white pattern on it.  He also had a black puffa type jacket on over the hoodie and possibly was wearing trainers and gloves.

Local Crime Investigator Chloe Beattie said:  "We'd like to speak to anyone who may have heard of seen anything suspicious in this area on this day.

"Perhaps you saw a male matching this description - with a distinctive scarf covering his face - running or acting suspiciously around this time?

"As it was a Saturday evening this area would have been busy - if you were in the area please come forward."

If you can help with our enquiries please contact LCI Chloe Beattie on 101 quoting crime reference number 54180107074.  Alternatively, you can call anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
