Organised by award-winning care at home provider Bluebird Care Swindon, the event is on Tuesday February 11, from 10am to midday, at Coleview Community Centre, Towcester Road.

It is open to anyone seeking new employment or a change of career, as well as organisations looking to place people in work. There will be short presentations – including a talk from current carers about why they love their work - and the opportunity to meet care staff and collect information about working for the care sector, and the benefits provided.

Bluebird Care already employs many staff who provide care and support to a range of people in Swindon, Wroughton and North Wiltshire, to enable them to remain living independently at home.

Ben Curtis, Managing Director Bluebird Care Swindon, said: “Bluebird Care has a positive reputation across the country for providing excellent customer service and quality personal home care which ensures that the people we work with feel empowered about the services they receive.

“We support customers who suffer from dementia, physical and learning disabilities, and work alongside their families, Social Services, GPs and Clinical Commissioning Groups to ensure each person receives the care they need.

"We are looking to expand our team of dedicated carers and are keen to meet people who are considering care as their career of choice.”

Bluebird Care offers a unique service of tailored care visits which can range from short care visits, to full live-in support. As well as personal care the team also help with meal preparation, welfare checks, shopping, social trips, visits to the hospital, and they also provide extra support for post-discharge customers.

Katrina Simms, Care Manager, added: “Employing committed and passionate care staff has been a huge part of our success. We will only ever be as good as the staff we employ, and our staff are excellent! They are always professional and have real empathy for the people they look after.

“We’re now taking our recruitment opportunities out into the community and are keen to talk to charities and services which support people to find or return to work. Come along to our recruitment event and meet some of our wonderful carers. There will be an opportunity to ask questions about the positions we need to fill and the many benefits that Bluebird Care can offer anyone considering care as their career of choice”.

Anyone interested in attending should contact Katrina Simms on 01793 239499 (email [email protected], or Michael Auton on 07862 253514 (email[email protected]) to book a place or request a copy of the Care Assistant Recruitment Pack

Bluebird Care Swindon offers a realistic alternative to residential care by allowing people to stay in their own homes with care and support. The care assistants’ work can involve one or more short visits a day in order to help with the everyday tasks of life. However, the service doesn’t stop there because longer duration visits are also available, including overnight help and live-in care, providing our customers with help at home for life.
