Two men robbed an 11-year-old boy of his bank card in Wroughton.
It happened between 4.30pm and 4.50pm yesterday - Thursday, 20 January - as the victim was walking to Tesco at the Ellendune Shopping Centre.
As he walked down the alleyway between Wharf Road and the shopping centre he became aware of two men, believed to be aged about 18.
The pair approached the boy and pushed him in the chest, causing him to fall backwards. They took his bank card from his pocket and ran in the direction of the shops at the Ellendune Centre.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The victim is just 11-years-old and was extremely shaken up following the incident.
“We are making progress with our enquiries and we will be increasing patrols in the area but unfortunately at this time we do not have any witnesses. I’d be really keen to speak to anyone who either witnessed the incident, or saw the two men involved prior to, or after the robbery.
“Both men are believed to be aged around 18, they were both wearing dark clothing and their faces were mostly covered.”
