FI Real Estate Management, who asset manage The Brunel Shopping Centre, have announced that the centre will be reopening non-essential shops on Monday 15 June 2020.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “Following the UK Government’s latest update we confirm that we are in the process of making the physical changes necessary to open the centre on 15 June.

“The safety of our customers, tenants and staff is paramount and we are following all Government health and safety guidelines.  We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and will be following all Government advice.”

“Restaurants and cafes are not yet allowed to open for sit-down service but are permitted to offer take-away and food deliveries.  As a result, seating in The Crossing must remain closed until this restriction is lifted by the Government.”

The Brunel Centre and The Crossing have been partially-closed since the start of the lockdown in March, with essential retailers remaining open.  Some of The Crossing’s tenants have continued to operate take-away and delivery services throughout the lockdown.
