Swindon Borough Council's Public Transport Strategy officers recently welcomed the 8th Swindon Brownies for a travel training session.
It was part of the authority's work to help young people travel safely and independently around the borough.
The Brownies began their visit at the Civic Offices, learning about what the Get Swindon Moving Community Group does, how to use buses and the different tools available including timetables and maps.
Swindon’s Bus Company then took the group on a trip around the town centre, finishing at Fleming Way.
A council spokesperson said: "At Fleming Way, Stagecoach hosted an exciting on-board session where the Brownies asked questions, explored the driver’s cab and got a close-up look at the safety features and tech that keep buses running smoothly.
"Any youth group interested in a tailored session can get in touch by emailing [email protected]."
