Swindon’s Bus Company is backing the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme by offering passengers two bus tickets for the price of one.
Swindon's Bus Company head of communications Nikki Honer said: “We have seen a tremendous difference in levels of traffic across the region since lockdown began, and it would be fantastic if we could build on that as a community.
“Swindon’s Bus Company fully supports the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme because we know how important it is to the local economy here.
"We can’t wait to see our high streets and hospitality industry start to bustle once more, so we are delighted to be joining in with this offer for our customers too.
“During August 2020, anyone buying Dayrider tickets after 11.30am, Monday to Wednesday, will only be charged for one fare. They will need to be travelling with someone from their own household or bubble - so it is a great opportunity to have fun eating out with family or friends.
“We are encouraging as many people as possible to pay by contactless, and this offer is available directly from our drivers.”
The company says its journey planner, available on its website can help people who decide to venture further afield than usual and try something new.
