Motorcyclist suffers potentially life-changing injuries

The police are appealing for witnesses following a traffic collision in Brinkworth.

Emergency services were called to the B4042 at the junction with York Lane shortly before 3.30pm yesterday - 19 June.

The incident involved a blue Honda motorcycle and a blue Volkswagen Amarok.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with potentially life-changing injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. The road was closed until around 11.30pm while investigators worked.

A police spokesperson said: "We would ask any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam which could assist our enquiries to contact Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 190 of 19/06. 

"Alternatively you can contact the team direct on [email protected]"
