Kseniia has joined forces with 'Swindon Welcomes Ukraine' through their Chair Sofiia Volovyk to bring a group of musicians together for a classical concert.

Her upcoming classical concert will bring professional Ukrainian and European musicians together for a night of classical music performance on Saturday 10 December at Christchurch in Old Town.

The event was first held in London in November, to a packed crowd of 300 people, and raised £3300 for two Ukrainian charities.

After the concert's success the event will now be brought to Swindon - where Kseniia now lives with her family.

Kseniia said: “My classically trained background has allowed me to use my love of music to help the most in need in our country, through charity concerts. I have brought together some of the best professional musicians I’ve ever met in the music business.

"I am so grateful to the people of this country for supporting Ukrainians and I hope this concert can give back something special to Swindon whilst supporting two charities dear to my heart.”

The event called “Classics for Ukraine" has been created as a fundraiser for two charities that help Ukrainians - Patients for Ukraine who take ex-NHS ambulances full of supplies to Ukrainian hospitals, and EmbraceMe, who support injured civilians with prosthetics who have complex limb fractures.

The five performers, who will be playing from a range of composers and pieces, will be joined by 'The Wessex' a Wiltshire men’s amateur choir, who will provide a second act of choral classics.

Kseniia came over to the UK in June 2022 under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, and lived with a host family in Rye, to escape the conflict in Ukraine.  After securing work, whilst looking after two children, she has moved her family to Swindon, where they now rent a flat in Old Town.

Kseniia says she is committed to helping support the growing Ukrainian community in the area, and has joined forces with Sofiia Volovyk, the chair of the Swindon Welcomes Ukraine committee. Sofiia walked from Swindon to Scotland this summer, also raising money for Ukrainian aid charities.

Sofiia said: “It’s fantastic to bring such an amazing collection of musicians to Swindon. It is all part of our aim to create a welcoming environment for Ukrainians here, we have over 250 who have arrived this year that are being supported by 130 amazing hosts. I am excited about the future of our growing community”.
