Swindon Borough Council has now expanded the service to its other core libraries - North Swindon, West Swindon, Highworth and Park.

A council spokesperson said feedback for Click, Call and Collect, brought in to allow readers to use the libraries while maintaining safety amid the coronavirus crisis, had been overwhelmingly positive.

Customers can reserve books online or by calling 01793 463238. Staff then gather the books selected from those available and contact clients when the volumes are ready to be collected. During collection, books can also be returned.

During customers' visits, a variety of safety measures are in place. Libraries' other facilities, including study areas, computers and toilets, are not available for use. The libraries’ digital services continue to operate.
