Woman left with facial injury following collision in Lidl car park

Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident which left a woman with significant injury to her face.

At approximately 12.45pm on Friday, 28 January, a woman in her 50s was walking alone through the Lidl car park in Bright Street when a vehicle collided with her from behind.

The woman was knocked to the ground and sustained injuries to her teeth and lip.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene and left the car park at speed.

Officers said fortunately, two women came to the aid of the victim a short time later and helped her up.

The force are appealing to anyone who was in the car park at the time of the incident who either witnessed the collision, or may have a dash cam fitted to their vehicles which could have relevant footage relating to the incident.
