Swindon Police are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses to a serious collision between a vehicle and pedestrian in Swindon, after which the vehicle failed to stop.

The incident took place on 30 January at around 3.35pm on the junction of Bay Tree Court and Pinehurst Road, Swindon.

A green Vauxhall Adam Glam which had been stolen overnight from the Old Town area of Swindon struck a pedestrian, a man in his 40s.

The pedestrian suffered potentially life-changing injuries.

The vehicle was found by officers near the scene of the collision – two males who were in the car fled the scene in the direction of Hornbeam Court. The police are continuing to try to identify them.

They are described as white, one with blue jeans and a white top, and the other in all black. One of the suspects had a beard and the other was wearing a hat.

Roads Policing Unit Sergeant James Barrett said: “This was a very serious collision which has left the pedestrian with significant injuries.

“We believe there will be more people who will either have witnessed the collision or potentially have seen the suspects fleeing the scene.

“We would also urge residents in the area to check their Ring doorbells if they have one for any footage showing the males or the vehicle.”

If anyone has any further information regarding this collision, they are asked to call 101, quoting reference 542500012417.
