With Corporation Street set to reopen on Friday 1 December, Swindon’s Bus Company is advising customers of changes to some services and routes from Saturday 2 December.
“We are continuing with our temporary timetables and routes until the end of service on the Friday, but we are urging those planning to travel with us from Saturday 2 December to make sure they are aware of the changes,” said Swindon’s Bus Company general manager, Andrew Sherrington.
“All of these details are available on our website and app, and we’ll be highlighting the revisions at bus stops.
“We have also published our Christmas and New Year timetables, which are available to view at swindonbus.co.uk/Christmas .
“And, with the £2 fare cap for any single journey still in place, there is ample opportunity to get out and enjoy the festivities this December.”
From Saturday 2 December, the following changes will be introduced:
Route 2 - timetable will be unchanged but will revert to original inbound route via Fleming Way (Spring Gardens) and Corporation Street.
Route 5 - timetable to revert to prior to Corporation Street closure - buses to Orbital Park will now stop outside Swindon bus station at stop W, NOT stop L.
Routes 11/12 - timetable and route to revert to prior to Corporation Street closure. Buses to Oakhurst will now stop outside Swindon bus station at stop W, NOT stop L.
Routes 13/14 - timetable will be unchanged but will revert to original inbound route via Fleming Way (Spring Gardens) and Corporation Street.
Route 17 - timetable and route to revery to prior to Corporation Street closure
Routes 21/23/25 - timetable to revert to prior to Corporation Street closure
Route 22 - service will revert to joined-up route between Okus and Barnfield via town centre, with a revised timetable.
