Feb 21 update - one further coronavirus death at GWH

The latest report from NHS England has revealed that there has been one further death from covid reported at Great Western Hospital in the last 24 hours. It has been two days since the last death at GWH. The latest death occurred on 19 February. This means the coronavirus death toll at Great Western Hospital since the start of the outbreak has risen to 299. These figures are correct up to 4pm yesterday.

As of 4pm today there have been 55 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours in Swindon, meaning the total has risen to 10,312 confirmed cases since the start of the outbreak. In the last seven days there have been 237 new confirmed cases in Swindon. In Wiltshire there have been 83 new cases in the past 24 hours, meaning the number of people who have tested positive in Wiltshire is 15,991. This means that in the last seven days there have been 467 new confirmed cases in Wiltshire. These figures are split by local authority. Please note that these new cases are the figures reported by Public Health England and do not take into account delays in the return of positive test results.

As of 9am on 21 February, 4,115,509 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK. This is a rise of 9,834 positive tests in the last 24 hours.

As of 5pm on 20 February, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK who died within 28 days of their test, 120,580 have died across all settings. This is an increase of 215.
