No further coronavirus deaths at GWH according to latest figures

No further Covid-19 positive patients have died at Great Western Hospital, according to NHS England. The total number of cases of coronavirus related deaths at GWH remains at 108 since the start of the outbreak.

These figures are correct up to 5pm yesterday.

According to Public Health England there have been 438 confirmed cases in Swindon of coronavirus up to 6.18pm yesterday and there have been 508 confirmed cases in Wiltshire since the start of the outbreak. These figures are split by local authority.

UK-wide as of 9am on 19 May, there have been 2,772,552 tests, with 89,784 tests on 18 May.

248,818 people have tested positive.

As of 5pm on 18 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 35,341 have died. This new figure includes deaths in all settings not just in hospitals. This is a rise of 545 since the day before. The equivalent figure under the old measure would have been 28,754.
